Additional source of thermal energy with the function of forced ventilation of the room. The panel is equipped with two fans, which allow air to be taken both from the outside and from the inside, depending on the outdoor conditions. Thanks to this, the panel is also suitable for winter days when the temperature is below freezing point.

General description and functions

The purpose of the Warrah hot air panels is to provide heating (tempering) of the room, controlled ventilation and cooling in the summer months.

The basic principle of hot air panels consists in the exchange of thermal energy between a heated solid body (absorber) and a flowing fluid (air). This takes place in the enclosed space of the panel, which is controlled by a control unit located in an interior wooden bracket. If the temperature sensor array detects the desired temperature inside the panel, the heated air is delivered to the room via fans. In this way, the preset room temperature can be effectively maintained or increased, potentially shortening the heating season. This is the principle of the primary function of a hot air panel, which is to provide heating.

Another function is controlled ventilation, which is enabled by pressing a button on the bottom of the indoor wooden console. By pressing the button repeatedly, the ventilation time can be adjusted from 10 minutes up to a maximum of one hour. The advantage of forced ventilation is the reduction of indoor humidity and prevention of the subsequent formation of mould, elimination of unpleasant odours and a supply of a fresh air.

Product design

The Warrah series of hot-air panels included in the HOME architecture consists of two dimensional variants (Warrah 1 and Warrah 2), which can be oriented either horizontally or vertically. An optional feature is the colour of the frame, which is anodised to the desired shade. Currently the colours available are matt aluminium or matt black.

All structural elements of the panel are designed for an extended service life exceeding 30 years. Apart from the anodised frame, the front side of the panel is fitted with tempered glass with a high solar energy transmittance. The backside of the panel is thermally insulated with a 30 mm layer of insulation made from recycled materials. The fans are designed for a lifetime exceeding 150,000 hours and are able to withstand temperatures up to 140°C.

A solid wooden oak bar serves as a design element, dividing the side line of the frame and its material is identical to that used for the interior bracket. It serves for air inlet and outlet and also features two chrome-nickel plate valves.
